Problem description
Channel capacities for the TN2602AP IP Media Resource 320 board for G729 and G726 codecs are incorrect in the IP
Telephony Deployment Guide (555-245-600, version dated 2/1/06, pg 200/201) for Communication Manager 3,1, The
correct values are stated in the Hardware Description and Reference for Avaya Communication Manager (555-245-207,
2/06 version 5, pg 341) and are listed below
The capacity for G729 codec is 280 (not 320)
Expect the TN2602AP IP Media Resource 320 circuit pack, using G.729, to be fully enabled for 320 channels
commensurate with Release 3,1,2 of Communication Manager 3,1,2 and firmware version 9 or later for the
TN2602AP
The capacity for G726 codec is 320 (not 288)
TN2602AP IP Media Resource 320 board supports 320 channels using G726 codec commensurate with the first release
of this circuit pack in Release 3,0 of Communication Manager

Watch for a correct and updated Table 27 of the IP Telephony Deployment Guide (555-245-600, version dated 2/1/06, pg
200/201) in the next issue of the Guide,
Release 3,1,2 of Communication Manager 3,1,2 is planned to enable the TN2602AP IP Media Resource 320 for 320
channels using G729 codec  Avaya TN2602 AP
